Ever since I spotted these babies for $6 at the thrift store a few months ago, I've been dying for them to make their premiere.  As if reading my mind, a childhood friend called me over on a beautiful cool day to have some tea and alas, their time to shine was birthed!

I'm honestly ready for Fall to get here with its' cooler weather so I can bask in layers of clothing & showcase my collection of kicks.

Girl Crush

I often feel I am moreso a gay man than a straight woman.  My list of girl crushes (which exceed my list of boy crushes) range from the sweet teen face of Selena Gomez to the sexy soultry face of Kate Beckinsale.  The newest addition is the power of Rita Ora.  Everything about this girl has "MY TYPE" written all over it.  She sings R&B/Pop music, she's signed with ROC Nation, & she has an eclectic urban-chic style to her which I ADOREEEE!!!!  I want to BE HER.

DIY

I've been in a bit of a DIY Mania lately.  The result has been the ruins of many clothing items; all which were in order to be disposed of anyway (whew!) but I managed to transform some debilitated items to desirable duds again!  View my latest creation: a cut off Nike tank.  Perfect for this hot, dry weather we're currently experiencing.

Inspiration Rack

The last few weeks have seen me adding an immense amount of color to my wardrobe.  I'm a little obsessed with neon brights as of late.  Today, with the exclusive happening of the sun coming out of hiding, I decided to update my Inspiration Rack which was previously equipped with grey sweaters & skull scarves.   I've still been including ligther sweaters & knits in my recent buys for the sole purpose that they're light, versatile (being that you can layer them in the cooler months), and also extremely cheap this time of year!

I need inspiration for my outfit this weekend.  I'm producing my first fashion show with a team of amazing people!  I need something comfortable with a flare of color.  I love these three I found on Pinterest so let's see what my mind, budget, & shopping skills configure thereafter.  

Nicole Richie For Macys!

Macy's has officially endorsed fashion icon, designer and television star Nicole Richie for their next Impulse designer!  The line is set to launch this September and will feature limited-edition apparel inspired by Richie's luxe Bohemian style. Expect to see everything from maxi skirts to fitted jackets in retro prints and jewel tones, priced from approximately $49 – $149. As a personal fan of her style, I expect to be making many trips to visit this line!
