My Life In Photos: The Past Month (Or 2)

I am not understating myself when I say the last two months have been a whirlwind of movement.  With vacations, birthdays, weddings, and events lined up back to back, I've been too busy to even sleep!  My lack of steadiness has probably aided in me becoming extremely ill this past week :( Here's a sneak peek of photos from my NYC trip and other various events I've been to in the  past month.  More elaborate posts will ensue after I wake up from my 7 day nap.  If you don't hear from me by this time next week, please send the paramedics.  I have probably overdosed on icecream and How I Met Your Mother episodes.

(I compressed about 400 photos into 23 & in no particular order, because that would take too much time & effort)

Pachee's 23rd!
I was in a colorful mood.

Baby Swagger

As if my baby niece wasn't cute enough, it comes to no surprise that she's adapted a keen fashion sense at such a young age.  Her mother is adamant that she picks it up from me, but I like to be humble about it ;P
And YES, she is an avid Tattertales reader!

Finally back from my NYC vacay.  Many pictures and posts to follow :)

All pieces c/o Target & yes she picked them out herself!

Snap Backs & Sunny Weather

Maybe I'm just a freeze baby, but the fact that the sun is starting to shine over the heart of Minneapolis doesn't exactly excite me just yet.  35 degrees is still nothing to to be thrilled about.  With that said, I dressed for today's weather in suitable attire: sweats, slacks, & a mesh snap back.  Anyone who knows me knows I hate wearing jeans.  The wear is so restricted.  I'm glad slacks & sweats are making a fashion come back.  This is my time to shine!!!!

The U of M Men's sweater I'm wearing is complimentary of the BFF Amin. I threw on some heels to keep some of my effeminacy alive, even though I swear in my past life I was a man by the clothes & lifestyle I prefer to manifest on the daily.

I was clever enough to con the helpless little sister who's home from college into taking photos of myself.  I have to say I don't know what I prefer more - having someone take pictures of me or just taking the photos myself.  I am the most awkward picture taker EVER.  I hope you find humor in my attempts.

Keep an eye open for the debut of the very special man in my life featured in this post :)

Obey Snap Back (UO, $5), Trouve slacks (Nordstrom, $7), Steve Madden heels (Thrifted $6), U of M mens hoody (gifted from the BFF Amin), Cargo Vest (Old Navy $3), Red Flannel (Harve Leger, Marshalls $7)

Arm Party

I have a pretty intense hat collection with an eclectic range of fedoras, snap backs, & beanies.  They're my favvvv <3.

Introducing Aiden Gray (and his BFF George)!  Isn't he the cutest 2 footer you've ever laid eyes on?  Sorry ladies, he's all mine :)  We were in the attempt of taking pictures of my ring when he decided to run into the picture.  I'd say he added some pizzazz to the photo, wouldn't you? :)

Dont' mind the cheap & quick photoshopped "black out" I did to the back ground.  I had some uninvited guests in the photos LOL.

Now it's off the Lakers game with the boyfriend.  Go Wolves!

Have a great weekend everyone!  And thanks for reading!

Fashion State of Mind

With my New York City trip just around the corner, I'm in a complete empire state of mind.  I just want to run into Jeremy Lin, Olivia Palermo, & Jay-Z while I'm there and then I can rest happy!!!  Not to mention how the street style of the City itself is going to foster my excitement to abnormal levels.  Anyhow, since I've been sans a post lately due to a million things (including laziness) I'm adding pinteresting & tumbling photos I've collected over the last few weeks.  I'd hoard this page with the hundreds I have, but that might be a bit overload....no?

This is exactly what I want to wear every single day of my life, except with a beanie.

Love

Is that a Rachel Rachel Roy jacket I spot? I knew I should've bought it via Macy's One Day Sale -____-

COLORBLOCKFUN

The dilatoriness from the weekend carried over into my Monday leaving my post today to be quite bland.  I was playing around with some colors in my closet and after taking these pictures, I noticed a common denominator of 'color blocking' that seemed to take place in my photos.  I didn't get too versatile or creative with my outfits or accessories.  I moreso put together some last minute simple outfits with potential for my NYC trip.  With a month to go, and many more shopping trips to make - who knows if any of these will make the cut #shoppinggirlproblems.

Outfit #1: Purple & Orange
Loving this color combination right now.

F21 Sweater $12, Thrifted purple blouse $4, gifted M. Kors watch, F21 necklace, Seven For All Mankind Jeans, Old Navy wedges $16

Outfit #2 Red & Pink
Thrifted fuscia blouse ($7) & maxi skirt ($3)
Feeling a bit 'Emma Stone' right now :D

Outfit #3 Coral & Turquoise
Urban Outfitters Blazer $15, Nude Pumps (Burlington Coat Factory) $19, Coral sleeveless dress $19, Belt F21

Thanks for reading!
